What We Believe...We believe that the Bible is God's holy Living Word. It is authoritative for faith and all of life, and instructive for our everyday lives. It is integral to a life of discipleship, knowing God and understanding God's will and purpose for us. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Matthew 4:4; Deuteronomy 8:3; Psalm 19:7-11)We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. God exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is totally sovereign, loving, and completely holy. (Revelation 4:11; Nehemiah 9:6; John 17:20-22; Matthew 28:19; 1 Chronicles 29:11-12; Job 42:2; 1 John 4:8; Isaiah 6:3)We believe that sin is acting outside of God's will. Sin separates us from God and results in death. All have sinned and need Christ as their Savior. (Isaiah 64:6; Romans 3:23)We believe that Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, is the only one who can atone for our sins and reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and was raised to life again. (Philippians 2:8-9; John 14:6; Romans 5:19; Revelation 5:9; 2 Corinthians 4:14; Romans 3:25; Matthew 17:22-23)We believe that God calls us to repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to God's will for our lives. Through God's grace we are forgiven of our sins and granted eternal life. (1 Corinthians 1:9; 2 Timothy 1:9; 1 Peter 3:18; Romans 10: 9-13)We believe in the power and importance of the Church (God's holy people) and the necessity for believers to meet regularly together for worship, fellowship, prayer, study of God's Word, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (Acts 2:42 & 46; Ephesians 2:19-21; Hebrews 12:28; I Corinthians 11:20; 24-26)We believe that as God’s children we are both the recipients of God’s love and called to share God’s love with others. We are called to live a life of obedience and service in such a manner as glorifies God and draws others unto God. There is no greater calling on our lives. (Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:11, 16-21; Matthew 28:18-20)We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again just as he promised and with righteous judgement will make all things right and new. (Matthew 16:27, Matthew 26:64, Revelation 21:1-8)
